Supporting people and teams through meaningful dialogue and change.

Team Building with Assessments

I have training in and am experienced with facilitating the following assessments:

  • VIA Institute of Character - The rigorously researched Character Strengths assessment helps teams identify and leverage what is already working well. In a facilitated workshop, teams explore either the full 24 strengths or their top strengths to better understand individual contributions, collaboration patterns, and shared capacity. This helps build a foundation for building trust, alignment.

  • DiSC Assessment - Used by over one million people each year, the DiSC® assessment is a behavioral tool that helps teams understand how work styles influence communication, decision-making, and collaboration. In a facilitated workshop, teams build a shared language around these differences, strengthening trust, leadership effectiveness, and how they work together. Comprehensive individual and team reports make this the most thorough team-building assessment.

  • Values Assessment - A facilitated values workshop helps individuals and teams clarify what matters most and translate those values into everyday decisions and behaviors, especially during times of change or complexity.

Other Facilitated Sessions

  • Teacher Leadership This year-long teacher leadership program—with the option to continue for a second year and earn class credit each semester—supports educators who want to expand their leadership impact without moving into administration or traditional leadership roles. The program focuses on the skills required to lead adults—particularly communication, facilitation, and collaboration—which are distinctly different from working with students. Participants develop the capacity to guide conversations, support colleagues through change, and create inclusive, effective professional learning spaces while remaining grounded in their classroom practice.

  • Challenging Conversations. This workshop helps build a person’s capacity to engage in challenging conversations with greater clarity, trust, and effectiveness. Using practical tools drawn from neuroscience, mindful communication, and leadership studies, participants learn how to stay regulated under pressure, listen more fully, and address tension before it escalates.

Individuals leave better equipped to communicate openly, navigate disagreement productively, and work through challenges in ways that strengthen collaboration rather than strain relationships.

“At the end of every session I've broken through challenges and have a clear path and next steps. I've experienced a great reception from my colleagues as I try out the strategies we discuss, and I truly believe I'm advancing in my leadership thanks to my work with Carrie-Ann.” -Megan, Nonprofit Program Director
