Coaching & Mentoring

What makes coaching and mentoring so impactful?

According to Hattie, of the key indicators for student success is an educator’s belief in their ability to impact student outcomes.

Coaches and Mentors help you align the work you do with your values and beliefs so that you can make the greatest impact on the most students.

My Services

  • New Teacher Mentoring

On-going Individualized Mentoring - Available for Level 1, 2, and 3. Teachers meet weekly to support just-in-time support and work on actionable goals. A new educator is defined as an educator who has been teaching for three or fewer years.

  • Veteran Teacher Coaching

Individualized Evidence-based Coaching to make instructional moves visible in order for teachers to set and achieve actionable goals. A veteran educator is defined as someone who has been teaching for four or more years.

  • Teacher Leadership (in teams or individual)

Teachers work in a team to build collective efficacy and achieve a goal. Teacher leaders are trained in adult facilitation skills, teacher leadership dispositions, third point data collection and coaching skills reinforced with leadership frameworks and data.

  • Principal or Executive Leadership Coaching

Educational leaders are often making decisions without the help of a thought partner. Coaching provides on-going individualized support. Leaders who reflect with a coach are more intentional and aligned with their values and strengths.

A Critical Need

According to Hattie, with an effect size of d=1.57 Collective Teacher Efficacy is strongly correlated with student achievement. To move toward this empowering internal belief, many teachers could benefit from a high impact coach or mentor.

This coaching process has felt *transformative* not transactional, and Carrie-Ann so wisely advised me about the teaching process. It is so helpful to have a neutral party to clarify goals with and work toward improving my teaching practice with guidance and without judgment. Thank you. -Veteran teacher

You are a master mentor, perfectly blending the art and science of coaching. The mindfulness you facilitate is grounding. It is crucial to clearing "the clutter", facilitating clarity on the current state of things, and honing a future vision. You also have exceptional listening skills, noting language and behaviors that allow clients to identify patterns and make data informed decisions in the future.- Leanne, Mentee
